Biography

Altaf Hussain has over 20 years of experience in consulting, project management, education, training, and research in the fields of entrepreneurship, skill development, youth empowerment, and rural development. Altaf Hussain is a leading changemaker in the fields of entrepreneurship, skill development, youth empowerment, and rural development. The ECO Entrepreneurship program developed by Dr. Altaf was recognized byUN Academic Impact initiative program in 2024. https://www.un.org/en/academic-impact/university-pakistan-develops-eco-entrepreneurship-program-symphony-sustainable-hope He holds a PhD in Entrepreneurship, a MIT Teaching Fellow credential, a THINC Fellowship, and a Global Goodwill Ambassador recognition for his work and vision. As the Director of Executive Development Center (EDC) at Sukkur IBA University, an AACSB accredited institution, he leads the design and management of various programs that aim to enhance the employability, productivity, and innovation of the participants, especially in rural areas of Pakistan. He has trained more than 15,000 people and conducted several webinars that reached over 200,000 viewers on the EDC platform. He has also worked on several projects as a team lead, project lead, consultant, researcher, key expert, country head, director, and advisor with national and international organizations such as UNICEF, Commonwealth Secretariat, British Council, USAID, and State Bank of Pakistan. He is passionate and visionary about creating and supporting opportunities for learning, growth, and social impact.
