Works as Assistant Professor, at the Business School, Sukkur Institute of Business Administration, Sukkur, Sindh, Pakistan.  Dr. Umrani holds PhD in Management Sciences from University Utara Malaysia and an MBA from Pakistan.His research interest includes Leadership, Corporate Entrepreneurship, Employee Engagement, HR-Analytics, and Service Quality. Dr. Umrani is founder and is currently leading Sukkur IBA Case Research Center, an initiative to promote case teaching and case research at Sukkur IBA. He also holds a high reputation at Sukkur IBA due to his extraordinary contribution in Case Teaching and Case Writing. He has designed course modules for teaching and training on Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior & Leadership, Change Management & Innovation through case method. As a trainer Dr. Umrani has conducted professional trainings for corporate and academicians in Malaysia, United Arab Emirates, and all around Pakistan. Where he has had the opportunity to train, interact and learn from people of 150 different countries. His training portfolio falls in three major areas that includes Leadership & Management Development, Case Writing and Case Teaching and Research Methods (from research design to data analysis through latest Structural Equation Modelling Approaches and SPSS). His expertise are in the domain of Structural Equation Modeling. Some of his most popular workshops that have got recognition at national and internal level are Designing a Survey Research, How to write an empirical research article, Data-Analysis through Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling, Teaching through Case Method, Developing Teaching Cases, CV Writing, Developing Business Plans, and Developing Effective Leadership through 7-habits of highly effective people. Some of the international institutes/companies where Dr. Umrani has conducted trainings are University Utara Malaysia, University Technology Malaysia,Sharja University, UAE, Nestle Pakistan, Engro Foods Pvt Ltd, Isra University Hyderabad, Sukkur IBA, World Bank, US-AID (Pakistan), SRSO (Pakistan), P&G (Pakistan) Telenor Pakistan and open training programs which included participants from diversified organizations such as NGOs, Banks and other national institutions. Dr. Umrani has also the honor to work closely with the top most senior faculty of Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) Lahore on case teaching & training for corporates. He has also worked in close association with Indian Institute of Management Banglore, (India), Asia Pascific Institute of India and The University of Wollongong, Australia (Dubai Campus) for developing teaching cases. Dr. Umrani has published in Business & Economics Journal, Emerald Emerging Case Study Journal, International Postgraduate Business Journal, Mediterranean Journal of Social Sciences, and Management Science Letters. Some of his work is under-review with high quality journals such as Studies in Business & Economics Journal, Human Resource for health, Global Business Review, International Strategic Management Review and the South Asian Journal of human resource management.
