Goals & Objectives

1. At first instance Phase-I, about 3000 students will benefit from this project every year as under:
Basic education to 2000 students
Remedial education (Foundation courses) 500 students
Continued education 100 students
Teachers Training (Skill Dev) 200 students
Entrepreneurship Training 100 students
2.    Serve as innovative role model for other universities.
3.  In Pakistan this will be a pioneer Project in quality education to rural areas developing society.
4.  To develop educational linkages with the Community Colleges in USA and Canada.
5.  To reduce rural urban divide and enhance quality education of youth of underprivileged areas
6. To increase employment of youth will result in reduction of poverty, enhance economic activity
7. Contribute in Economic development of Pakistan and annihilation of the elements
    of terrorism and extremism     

Management of the Community Colleges:

The Community College will be administered by a Management Board which
will compromise the members as under:

4. Technical Experts

Experts from Sukkur IBA
 
Sukkur IBA will serve as a Management University for all these Community Colleges, and coordinate and monitor.  

Evaluation, Monitoring, Funds & Audits:

The Project’s performance will be evaluated; survey will be conducted to measure achievements, and setting internal audit.

IBA Community Colleges (Budget):

a. Initially the project is expected to be funded by Public Private Partnership unit,
P&D Department Government of Sindh and Sukkur IBA for 3 years.
b. After 3 years a small fee will be charged and philanthropists, local industry, 
and Alumni will be approached.
c. Continued education wing will be also source of income
d. The Budget estimates include rehabilitation and renovation of community
colleges building, operational cost and cost of talent hunt program.
e. 20% student will be selected on need basis will be provided education &
skill development training free of cost while others will pay nominal fee.
f. The operational Budget is recurring will be increased at the rate of
10% every year The community college will need at least three years
recurring grant till it get sustainability.
g. IBA Community Colleges Development Budget $2.75 Million and
Operational/ Recurring Budget $3.25 Million, in all Total Budget US $6 Million.

Sukkur IBA’s Capabilities for the Project:

1.  The proposed programs for community colleges are already running in
Sukkur IBA successfully since 2006.
2. Sukkur IBA is member of CCID and started community college in 2010.
The CCID Team lead by John Halder Global Outreach consultant visited
SukkurIBA for need assessment and necessary consultation for
road map for starting community colleges.

3. In Foundation Program, Three (300) students from Sindh are getting
free education with the collaboration of P&D Government of Sindh.
4. Qualified teachers are teaching foundation program students: English,
Mathematics, Computer, Accounting, Economics.
5. The Semester rules & regulations are followed in examination to evaluate 
quality, grade and CGPS. Those Students obtain CGPA of 2.2 are offered the
admission in regular programs like BBA, BS, and MBA. Successful students
can seek admissions in any institute of well repute with more confidence and Knowledge.
