Sukkur IBA University. March-3. Welcoming the participants of the International Conference on Computing, Mathematics and Engineering Technologies at the auditorium of Sukkur IBA University on Saturday, the Vice Chancellor Sukkur IBA University Prof. Nisar Ahmed Siddiqui expressing his gratitude said, the two-day deliberations of conference will prove a success. He was hopeful that, the researcher and students will be largely benefited by the conference, which hopefully will result into inclusive prosperity of the world. He said, transmission, creation, application and integration and the knowledge of artificial intelligence might affect the human aspect of our society, because it will result into scarcity of jobs in developing countries like Pakistan. I hope the participants of the conference will carve ways and means to overcome this problem, he said. Prof. M. Tahar Kachedi Professor School of Computer Science and Informatics University College, Dublin Belfield spoke about Cyber security. According to him, security is the measure of the confidence, which means that, integrity of the system is secure. The cyber attackers attack big fish like, governments, departments of defense, business companies and others, he went on telling, due to use of insecure software and hardware, out cyber security is at risk. Assistant Professor Dr. Ozan Keysan from Middle East Technical University talked about renewable energy technologies and transition to smart grids. He told that, in Pakistan total generation capacity is 27 GW, of which Fossil Fuel (oil and gas) produce 65% electricity, while 29% is produced through hydro, 6% through nuclear and only 3% through renewable energy. Dr. Abdul Rehman Abbasi head of MS Program KINPOE, KANUPP Karachi talking about inter-disciplinary research and its challenges said, researchers fail when they don’t have passion to work. He advised think of the problem and then go for its solution. Dr. Huy-Dung Han Professor Department of Electric and Computer Engineering Hanoi University of Science and Technology Vietnam talked about upcoming 5G revolution, which will help in e-health, smart education and agriculture, industry, robot, drone, games and sports. Professor Dr. Sajid Ahmed from Information Technology University Lahore delivered his key note on MIMI Radar and its qualities. Professor Dr. Zubair Ahmed Shaikh President Mohammad Ali Jinnah University Karachi due to emerging technologies were are turning from humans to humanoids. According to him new technologies are challenging and governing our concept of teachers and elders. Professor Dr. Jafreezal Bin Jaafar Dean of department of computer and information sciences Universiti Technologi PETRONAS, Perak Malaysia talked about reducing oil and gas industry cost and oil and gas reserves of Pakistan. The Chief Guest Commissioner Sukkur Division Dr. Mohammad Usman Chachar, who looked much impressed with the green and best academic environment of Sukkur IBA University, said, it is because of the untiring efforts of the VC and his team. Today’s conference he said, is very much important and am hopeful that, it will prove fruitful of the participants, he said. He said, technological advancements has its challenges, which could be overcome through such brain-storming. Later, the Vice Chancellor Sukkur IBA University Professor Nisar Ahmed Siddiqui and Registrar Engr. Zahid Hussain Khan gave away souvenirs to the key note speakers and decorated them with traditional Sindhi cap and ajrak.
