1st National Conference on E-banking in Pakistan-Challenges and Opportunities

The Sukkur IBA, ranked No. 4 among the best business schools in Pakistan by HEC, achieved another milestone by organizing 1st ever National Conference on E-Banking in Pakistan – Challenges and Opportunities with an objective to bring development and new ideas in the rural areas of Pakistan. This two day conference was held on Saturday 25 – Sunday 26, February, 2012 at Sukkur IBA Auditorium.Prominent and seasonal bankers associated with different banks in Pakistan such as HBL, MCB, ABL, Fasal Bank, Bank al-falah and Askari and institutions like the Institute of Bankers Pakistan facilitated this conference. In addition to the Sukkur IBA faculty and students, the conference was also attended by various bankers working in different commercial banks. Various topics on e-Banking such as Branchless Banking, mobile Banking, Internet Banking, ATM, E-Frauds and Payment cards were presented and discussed during the conference. Unlike other conferences organized by different universities in Pakistan, the Sukkur IBA arranged this e-banking conference by following international trends and best practices by conducting break-out (expert) sessions, mock job interviews and mock job placements test which proved extensively beneficial for the students.
